Production Process

Once we have received your image, it goes straight to our production team.
Firstly, the image will go to one of the designers, here it will be manipulated and resized to fit the canvas you have ordered. There will also be some basic artwork necessary, ie; red eye reduction, colour enhancement, horizon checks and date removal etc... Importantly, all this is included in the price and is an extra service we provide as standard.
Next, any special artwork requested will be done before the image goes to our Creative and Technical Director, where requested copy is then sent to you (via e-mail where possible).
Once the image is agreed to be of sufficient quality, it goes to the print team. Here it is printed on to high quality cotton fine art canvas (widely regarded as the best in the world, again, we offer as standard) and printed using high quality inks with a 'blue-wool' testing guarantee of 70 years.
All our canvases are then left to dry before being varnish sealed, locking in your picture and guaranteeing the inks against fade and running for 70 years. Again this is an extra quality control that we offer as standard.
Finally, the canvas is framed over a 35mm chamfered redwood stretcher frame that comes from renewable sources. Even here we have complete quality control as all our frames are made in-house to order and we do all our stretching and framing by hand in our Sheffield factory.
Once the finished article passes inspection, it is bubble wrapped for extra protection and delivered to you by overnight courier in a specially made carton that restricts any potentially damaging movement.
From the moment we receive an order, it is important to us that we have complete quality control. We do not out-source any part of the production process and so ensure that the final product you receive is of the highest quality available.
